Carolyn
Caudell Tieger

A Bit About Carolyn:

Tieger is one of the top public affairs communications strategists in the country.

A Washington, D.C., communications veteran, her extraordinary career includes four decades in the nation’s capital, serving on Capitol Hill, in the Reagan White House, in two international public relations firms, Burson-Marstellar and Porter Novelli, and as an owner and general manager of Goddard Claussen’s Washington, D.C. office. Tieger is renowned for her expertise in healthcare, legal reform and environmental issues.

In recognition of her impressive career, Tieger received Grady College’s John Holliman Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award and a National Colby Award for Lifetime Achievement in Public Relations from Sigma Kappa sorority.

While in DC, she was named PR News Public Affairs Executive of the Year and Washington PR Woman of the Year by Washington Women in PR.

Tieger continues to play a vital role in the industry and in cultivating and preparing the next generation of communications practitioners. Thanks to her vision and funding, in 2013 Grady College established the nation’s first Public Affairs Communications program along with an endowed professorship bearing her name.

Tieger brought that same vision and funding to bear on facilitating the professionalization of the Talking Dog Agency, creating a remarkable experiential learning opportunity for students to put theory into practice and gain real-world expertise.

With deep appreciation, we honor Carolyn Caudell Tieger’s dedication to supporting the advertising and public relations leaders of tomorrow.
